Integrating Content and Language at the University of Extremadura (ICLUEx) is a research project which aims to contribute to the quality of the teaching of content subjects through English at the University of Extremadura (UEx) by developing open educational resources in virtual collaborative learning environments. Our goal is to support this integrated teaching in the field of higher education, specifically adapted to the reality of UEx.

The concern for the internationalization among European universities is widely spread, with varying degrees of development, throughout the continent. Among the main objectives set by the European Union (EU) are respect for linguistic diversity, promotion of technological processes, promotion of economic and social cohesion and free movement of citizens. In achieving these goals, which have a direct impact on increasing the employability of university graduates in the common space that makes up the EU, universities have an important mission. In this sense, the educational approach of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), which has rapidly spread and consolidated throughout the European continent, can offer an interesting contribution.
